The Missouri property management agreement allows property owners to appoint a property manager to maintain and rent out a property on their behalf. The manager must keep the rental units filled and well maintained in exchange for a commission on the income generated from rent (often in addition to service fees). The manager is also responsible for repairs, renovations, and posting notices when necessary.

Requirements (§ 339.010.1 and .9(1)§ 339.020) – It is illegal for a property manager to operate in the State without a license from the real estate commission if they are not the property owner or an employee thereof.
