A dog (puppy) deposit receipt is a document that outlines a transaction between the owner of a dog and a prospective buyer. A deposit establishes a temporary agreement between the buyer and seller; the buyer hands over a cash deposit to show that they are serious about buying the dog, and the seller agrees not to sell the dog to someone else while the potential buyer comes up with the rest of the money.
The seller will only hold the dog for a certain number (#) of days before putting the dog back up for sale, which should be expressed on the deposit receipt.
