How To Write

Step 1 – Download the document

  • Select the box indicating whether you are the landlord or tenant who will be sending the notice
  • Enter the official date of the notice in dd/mm/yyyy format
  • Enter the date of termination of the lease or the intended day to vacate (Remember your notice must be at least 30 days advance notice)

Step 2 – Tenant Address Information -If you are the tenant providing notice:

  • Enter your new address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code
  • This information will be necessary for the purpose of returning your security deposit

Step 3 – On the day the tenant(s) will be moving out, it would be wise for the landlord and tenant to do a walk through of the premises. If that isn’t possible, make arrangements to do the walk through as soon as possible

Step 4 – The tenant(s) must agree to have the utilities moved to a new address or have them turned off

  • If the landlord would like the utilities returned to their name as opposed to having them shut off completely, it will be the landlord’s responsibility to advise the tenant(s) as soon as possible

Step 5 – Signature – The person(s) who are providing the notice to vacate must provide:

  • Signature
  • Printed Name
