A North Dakota month-to-month rental agreement is a lease that continues with no end date until either the landlord or tenant decides to terminate by giving thirty (30) days’ notice. The lease continues the same as a standard agreement with rent due each month and the landlord able to collect a security deposit at the start of the lease. It is recommended that before a month-to-month lease is signed that the landlord verifies the tenant’s income through a rental application.
Minimum Termination Period – 30 days
Laws – § 47-16-15
