A West Virginia standard residential lease agreement is a legal document that is used by a landlord to rent their property to a tenant for a fixed period. The most common timeframe is 1 year. The landlord will commonly request to obtain the tenant’s information through a rental application to run a credit check and verify employment. Once approved, the landlord and tenant will negotiate and sign an agreement.
