Key Components
- Release of departing roommate. All obligations and liabilities (i.e. rent, security deposit) made under the original lease are released to the remaining roommate(s).
- Agreement of remaining roommate(s). The remaining roommate(s) agree to reclaim all obligations and liabilities released from the departing roommate.
- Landlord’s consent. The form requires expressed consent from the landlord to accept the new arrangement of terms.
