A sales receipt is for products that are sold by a vendor to a customer. The receipt is usually comprised of the number of items (quantity) multiplied by the price per unit. Depending on the item being sold and the location of the transaction, a sales tax may be placed. Sales taxes are levied by the State and on a county by county jurisdiction.
